I thought because I had been “fitted” for my clubs in the past that my clubs were right for me, Mark showed me all that went in a complete, thorough fitting and now I have the perfect clubs for me! I gained distance and most of all… the accommodations I was making in my swing for the wrong fitting are starting to go away. He took time, watched me swing, and gave actual advice to me. I struggled with my golf clubs and my swing for years. When we first met, Mark asked me to hit a few shots with my wedge. Within one minute, he identified that I had a reverse pivot. He then spent 30 minutes helping me understand exactly what was causing my issues, my grip, posture, and setup and turn.
Over the years, I’ve been fit for clubs and taken lessons, but Mark was the only person who truly took the time to explain why I was generating so much spin…reverse pivot and amongst other problems in my swing. LOL What I’ve learned is that many so called club fitters selling equipment don’t understand the golf swing, they simply focus on numbers on a screen. How can you be properly fitted!
I also learned that I had been playing shafts that were far too stiff for me. I now hit my irons an average of 12 yards farther and my driver 20 yards farther with less effort! I thought I needed new irons and a new driver, but I didn’t, I just needed the right shaft. This guy truly knows shafts, golf clubs and the golf swing.
Mark was honest about my swing and my equipment. I have never spoken to anyone in the golf business with his level of knowledge.
If you ever have the opportunity to work with Mark, he will change your golf game.
