I was referred to Mark by a friend who had previously worked with him. I was looking to get my son fitted for clubs and was really looking for someone who would make the experience personal and not just “another customer”. Well, Mark did exactly that. I struggled with my golf clubs and my swing for years. When we first met, Mark asked me to hit a few shots with my wedge. Within one minute, he identified that I had a reverse pivot. He then spent 30 minutes helping me understand exactly what was causing my issues, my grip, posture, and setup and turn.
Over the years, I’ve been fit for clubs and taken lessons, but Mark was the only person who truly took the time to explain why I was generating so much spin…reverse pivot and amongst other problems in my swing. LOL What I’ve learned is that many so called club fitters selling equipment don’t understand the golf swing, they simply focus on numbers on a screen. How can you be properly fitted!
I also learned that I had been playing shafts that were far too stiff for me. I now hit my irons an average of 12 yards farther and my driver 20 yards farther with less effort! I thought I needed new irons and a new driver, but I didn’t, I just needed the right shaft. This guy truly knows shafts, golf clubs and the golf swing.
Mark was honest about my swing and my equipment. I have never spoken to anyone in the golf business with his level of knowledge.
If you ever have the opportunity to work with Mark, he will change your golf game.

He talked me through the grip and posture and ball position, then worked the swing to get the mechanics more in tune. I was in short, a mess you could say. He laid out all the changes he suggested I make and spent the actual time explaining the reality of things to me. Long story short, my entire bag was redone by him, I have never hit so well in all my life. I truly recommend if you are looking for someone to fit you correctly with knowledge, Mark at Parfit is an absolute genius. When a friend suggested I meet with Mark to have my clubs properly fitted, I didn’t think it was necessary. I thought I had clubs that were just fine and the problem was me. But reluctantly I had Mark redo my entire bag. He explained that my shafts were too short for me. As a tall woman he set me up with longer, softer shafts in all my clubs. I was still skeptical until the moment of truth. On the very first tee box my ball went higher, straighter and longer than it ever had. Throughout that round, the results were truly evident. Mark built the best fitting and balanced clubs I have ever owned. Mark really knows his stuff. This guy has so much knowledge about golf it’s hard not to become a better player just talking to him. I’m so glad he built my clubs and not the local chain golf stores.
